Who am I?

I am:

  • The woman at the well, desperate for my heart to be spoken to. (John 4:4-42)
  • The blind man, desperate for the curse to be lifted. (John 9:1-41)
  • Peter who denied Him, desperate for His presence. (Luke 22:55-62)
  • The man in the synagogue, plagued by unclean spirits, desperate for freedom. (Luke 4:33-36)
  • The adulteress about to be stoned to death, desperate for forgiveness. (John 8:3-11)
  • Lazarus, desperate for life after death. (John 11:1-14)
  • The man who was paralyzed, desperate to be moved. (Acts 9:33)
  • The woman reaching for His garment, desperate to be made well. (Mark 5:28)
  • The barren woman, weeping and desperate for new life. (1 Samuel 1:10)
  • The thief on the cross, desperate for hope. (Luke 23:43)
  • One of the soldiers who mocked Him. (Luke 23:36)
  • The soldier who pierced His side and shed His blood. (John 19:34)
  • A sinner, in need of a Savior. (1 John 1:9)

  3. Yes we were all of them lost and deceived beings Shattered in Him but no longer, because we are Saved we will show we are as we work out our Salvation, not meaning work for it, putting our Carnal flesh to death by The Spirit and Aiming to be Perfected in Love and we will have God’s inner Joy, knowing who we are in Christ Jesus, Rejoicing in this always.

When we are Born again of God’s seed the Old Nature has gone, we have a New Nature because we have God’s seed and no longer Sin, yes we are to put to death our Carnal flesh by The Spirit .( Romans 8 :12-15- Romans 6 – Colossians 3:4-6 -Galatians 5:24 -26) and we Aim to be Perfected in Love (Matthew 5:48 – Hebrews 6:1-Philippians 3:14-16 -2Timothy 3:17-1John 4:16-19- 1John 2:4-6- 2Corinthians 13:11) and we will than be as Jesus in this World, Holy and Righteous.

1 John 3: 1-11 ( 9 ) No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin because God’s seed remains in him he cannot go on Sinning because he has been Born of God.

1John 3:2 -7 Whosoever abideth in Him Sinneth not: whosoever Sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children let no Man deceive you, he that doeth Righteousness is Righteous even as He is Righteous.

1John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God Sins but He who was Born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him.

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth everyone who Sins is a Slave to Sin. Now a Slave has no permanent place in the family but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you Free you will be Free indeed.

Romans 6:6- 7 For we know that our old self was Crucified with Him so that the body of Sin might be done away with that we should no longer be Slaves to Sin because anyone who has died has been freed from Sin.

Romans 6:18-20 Being then made Free from Sin, ye became the Servants of Righteousness.

1 John 2:4-6 He that saith I know Him and keepeth not His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His word in him verily is the Love of God Perfected hereby know we that we are in Him He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk even as He walked.

1John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made Perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as He is so are we in this world. There is no fear in Love but Perfect Love casteth out fear because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made Perfect in Love. We Love Him because He first Loved us.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto Perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises dearly beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit Perfecting Holiness in the fear of God.

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be Purified and made White and tried but the wicked shall do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand but the Wise shall understand.

    1. I guess the point got missed somewhere and I assumed it was a given that we all already know what happened. Each of those people listed were the recipients of Christ’s love, redemption, healing, compassion, freedom, and forgiveness in the shape they were in. They became new creations in Him because He met each and every one of them where they were at in the journey. That is the beauty of their stories, that is the beauty of who He is to each and every one of us.

Thank you for the verses. God bless.

    2. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. – 1 John 1:8-10

  4. Sister, in love I point you to the glorious truth: all this was the old man that was crucified with Christ! We were buried with Him and resurrected with Him, and are now sons of God sitting at the right hand of God the Father in the heavenly realms!

As members of Christ’s body, the devil is under our feet and WE are HIS master: we decree a thing and it is done (if we but KNOW the truth, BELIEVE it, and persevere in faith to walk in accordance with the Holy Spirit)!

    1. I understand what you are saying, but each of those people listed were the recipients of Christ’s love, redemption, healing, compassion, freedom, and forgiveness in the shape they were in. That is the beauty of their stories, that is the beauty of who He is to each of us. 🙂

    1. I’ve been saying it to myself for a while, a few times to my husband. A friend of mine expressed similar sentiments and I just could not shake it. Those statements have allowed me to see my identity in Christ more clearly – the mercy, grace, and redemption in spite of everything! 🙂

      1. We all share in much of this list. This is why God’s grace is so amazing. He loved us before we ever loved Him. We all may see our “mercy, grace, and redemption” through these great thoughts…
